Fundamental Principles of Study
1. God communicated to people in written form;
2. The Holy Spirit communicated through chosen men using Word and vocabulary;
3. Words have specific meaning;
4. Grammar is necessary to construct sentences, paragraphs, and to convey meaning;
5. Context determines the meanings of word usage and the Truth being conveyed;
6. Truth is exclusive by its very definition;
7. Application comes after Truth, and cannot be the source of Truth;
(Authorial Intent rather than readers response for interpretation that leads to proper application)
8. The Authors intent is to be discovered;
9. The original readers understanding must be considered;
10. Truth cannot change, application can vary.
